Today sees the release of rising R&B star Nashé xx's debut four-track EP, Monday, and to mark the occasion he's produced a short film to showcase the new tracks. The video tells the story of a chance encounter with a girl that leads our hero to ask "Is this love?" It's a straightforward story that perfectly suits the understated soul of the EP.

The Sheffield-born act first came through via Brownswood Recordings' Future Bubblers programe, which saw the label mentoring emerging artists admired by Gilles Peterson and the label. With contemporaries in the programe like Notts grime joker Snowy and Sticky Blood affiliate Ajay Carter — and with Nashé xx capable of soulful, trappy jams like "Everynight" and "Weekday" — chances are he's headed for at least as much success.
