As promised, Mike Will Made-It released the official video for his Ransom 2 single "Perfect Pint" Tuesday.
The Nabil-directed video features appearances from Rae Sremmurd, Gucci Mane, and Kendrick Lamar. At one point, Kung Fu Kenny is seen in a flying car. Also, Gucci floats around in astronaut gear. Perfect.
Mike Will previously dropped videos for Ransom 2 tracks "Gucci on My" featuring 21 Savage and YG, and "On the Come Up" featuring Big Sean.
Speaking with NPR in April, Mike Will revealed that the Kendrick x Sremmurd connection actually started years ago. "I let [K.] Dot hear Rae Sremmurd early," Mike Will said. "He was riding around to Rae Sremmurd before anybody was riding around to Rae Sremmurd. He was telling me that was his favorite group. And to work with him, that's something I always wanted to do because I respect his content, I respect his approach and his vision."
With the release of Ransom 2 in March, Mike Will scored his first Billboard 200 entry. The album's predecessor, the 2014 collection Ransom, peaked at No. 45 on the Independent Albums chart.
Mike Will's 2017 has also included production on Kodak Black's Painting Pictures and Kendrick Lamar's critical smash Damn, including the ubiquitous hits "Humble" and "DNA," and the Kendrick x U2 collab "XXX." Mike Will recently revealed that the "Humble" beat was originally meant to become a Gucci song, but apparently fate intervened.
