Chance the Rapper has reportedly canceled on a number of summer music festivals in Europe. As pointed out by Consequence of Sound, the Chicago artist was scheduled to perform at four events in August, near the end of his Be Encouraged Tour of North America. The affected festivals are Øya in Oslo, Way Out West in Gothenburg, HAVEN in Copenhagen, and Pukkelpop in Hasselt

Chance’s team released a statement published on Way Out West’s website:

“It is with regret that Chance the Rapper has to cancel his upcoming performance at Way Out West and his European festival tour in August. This is due to scheduling conflicts beyond his control. Chance sends his apologies to his fans and looks forward to returning to Europe soon.”

It appears the remaining U.S. tour dates will not be affected. The Be Encouraged Tour kicked off last month and will include stops in Dallas, Detroit, Toronto, and Chicago before wrapping up in Phoenix on Oct. 20. DJ Oreo and King Louie will join Chance on the road.
