Earlier this year, Australian producer Illstrtd dropped his breakout #throwbacktothe90s mixtape, a collection of remixes of four '90s classics: TLC's "No Scrubs", Blackstreet's "No Diggity", Janet Jackson's "Love Will Never Do" and of course Ginuwine's "Pony". The tape, particularly the "No Scrubs" remix, blew up and has been streamed tens of thousands of times. Which is the perfect time for Illstrtd to drop his brand new original production "Wings". The mixtape set the scene for this new release, putting his own house-tinged, futurist spin onto '90s classics. "Wings" replaces the '90s bent with a thoroughly 2017 brand of R&B that's as smooth as it is club-ready. Take a listen below.
