Yung Mazi, who has frequently collaborated with Kevin Gates and Young Thug in recent years, was reportedly shot in the chest inside of a Waffle House in Atlanta early Tuesday morning. He is expected to survive the shooting and is reportedly recovering at a local hospital. A suspect in the shooting is still on the loose.

According to 11Alive reporter Neima Abdulahi, Yung Mazi was shot once in the chest shortly after walking into Waffle House at around 3 a.m. and sitting down to place his order. Restaurant employees told 11Alive that he was with several friends at the time of the shooting and that those friends rushed him to the hospital immediately after the shooting took place. No description of the shooter has been provided by police yet.

Yung Mazi has reportedly been shot at least 10 times prior to this most recent shooting. During an interview with DJ Smallz that took place earlier this year, he spoke about why he believes he has been targeted so often.
