Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill are headed to Miami for New Year’s Eve. But it isn’t what it sounds like.
On the same day Nicki confirmed she would replace Jennifer Lopez as the E11even nightclub headliner, Meek’s camp also announced he had booked a show in the same city on the same night.
Sources close to the Philadelphia rapper told TMZ he was getting paid a whopping $200,000 to roll in the new year at Dream Nightclub in South Beach, Florida. Considering the high payout, we’re not surprised Meek was willing to risk an awkward run-in with his rumored ex.
Earlier this month, social media began speculating that Meek and Nicki’s relationship was on the rocks. People referred to the power couple’s cryptic Instagram posts that seemed to take shots at each other: Nicki with her posts about feeling unappreciated, and Meek with his posts of a woman’s ass (which may or may not belong to the Pinkprint artist).
Though the two have yet to confirm a breakup, it’s clear there’s something going on. At least they can distract themselves with work...and their big paychecks.
