Earlier this month, Toronto rapper/producer Nav posted a photo of him and Metro Boomin inside a studio. Obviously, many people began speculating that the two had another collaborative track on the way. But it turns out, those people were wrong. Nav and Metro aren’t just working on a single, they’re working on a full-length project.

On Saturday evening, Metro sent out a tweet announcing he and the mysterious artist would drop a joint album sometime in 2017. Though no other information was provided, Nav seemed to confirm the news with a retweet. The Weeknd also shared the news on his Twitter too.

The two previously worked together on Nav’s single “Up,” which was co-produced by Metro. In addition to being played on OVO Sound Radio, Nav has received major co-signs from the likes of Post Malone, The Weeknd’s manager Cash, as well as Kylie Jenner, who gave him a great deal of exposure after playing his “Myself” cut on Vine.

"Myself," "Up," and a handful of other Nav singles have since garnered millions of views on SoundCloud and YouTube. There's not a lot known about the Toronto artist, but it's safe to say he's one to watch in 2017. Stay tuned as more information about the collaborative album comes through.
