You may have missed Dan Caplen's debut EP, Badman, when it dropped earlier this year—but it is definitely worth revisiting. Powered by the redemptive title track, Caplen rounded out the 4-tracker with a captivating cover of James Blake's "Life Round Here". And it's in this vein that we premiere new music from Dan today, as he takes on The Streets' 2004 track "Blinded By The Lights". With the pounding bassline of the original replaced here, the south Londoner's soulful reworking is a smooth, piano-led take, backed by a hymnal melody that helps transport the song's content to a new dimension. Currently touring across the UK in support of Anne-Marie, now would be a better time than any to properly acquaint yourself with Dan Caplen. Press play below.
