After riding 2014’s “Coco” to a top 20 spot on Billboard magazine’s “Hot 100” chart, Conglomerate member O.T. Genasis followed up his latest single “Push It” with the release of his Coke N Butter mixtape Friday. The set is 12 tracks deep and features guest spots from T.I. and 2 Chainz, among others. In a relatively short time, O.T. Genasis has rounded up A-list features from the likes of Lil Wayne and Jeezy to compliment his solo efforts, and the the strategy continues on Coke N Butter. With the single “Push It” already in circulation, Remy Ma and Quavo of Migos join O.T. Genasis on the recently released remix.

Much like “Coco,” the subject matter of Coke N Butter doesn’t leave much to the imagination, with tracks such as “Weigh the Weight” and artwork featuring Pyrex cookware, powder, and a hypodermic needle. According to Deadspin and former Golden State Warriors forward Marreese Speights, the brick references were allegedly enough to make the NBA put a stop to the 2014 NBA Champions singing the track on Instagram after victories. The free promotion didn’t stop O.T. from earning a platinum certification from the RIAA for his efforts with over one million units sold. Besides, English Premier League club Chelsea picked up the slack and sang “Coco” after clenching the league title in 2015.

As Busta Rhymes indicated to Complex in a 2014 interview with O.T., making catchy singles was part of the appeal to inking him to a deal. O.T. reportedly performed “Touchdown” four times in a row at a show Busta attended.

“It was a combination of people demanding him to do [“Touchdown”] over and over and him commanding that energy for them to be put in a vibe where they would want to demand seeing it again,” Busta said.

The latest from O.T. follows his 2015 effort, Black Belt, and it can be found on Spotify, Apple Music and other digital outlets.
