Kevin Abstract hit fans with a lot of news this week, announcing his new album American Boyfriend: A Suburban Love Story and sharing two new songs off the record.
On Wednesday, Abstract debuted "Yellow" on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show. "We just wanted to make some Vanessa Carlton type stuff, some early 2000s pop music," he said.
The artist followed it up by sharing another new track off the album titled "Miserable America." The 16-track album was executive produced by Michael Uzowuru and produced by members of Brockhampton. He later revealed to his fans on Twitter that "Yellow" almost didn't make the album."fun fact: i didn't want 'yellow' on the album at all @ first but michael pushed so hard for it everyone thank this guy," he wrote in reference to Uzowuru.
