The news of Donald Trump's election as the 45th President of the United States has caused waves of hate crimes and vandalism from people emboldened by the president-elect's stances. One such incident happened at Adam Yauch Park in Brooklyn Heights when someone defaced playground equipment.

In the photo above, taken on Friday, you can see graffiti of swastikas and the words “Go Trump.” It’s important to note that Yauch and his Beastie Boys bandmates are all Jewish. Yauch passed away in 2012, and the park was re-named after him the following year.

"Adam Yauch Park in Brooklyn Heights was left defaced with ugly symbols of hate today. This cannot be the new normal!" Twitter user Karen Wang (@kw492) wrote.

It is a notably unfortunate time to ruin this particular landmark: This month marks the 30th anniversary of the Beasties' classic debut album Licensed to Ill.

On Saturday, the Beastie Boys went to social media to announce an anti-hate rally that's set to take place at Adam Yauch Park.

According to a flyer posted on the group's official Twitter page, the event will be led by New York State Senator Daniel Squadron, Congresswoman Nydia Velásquez, city councilmembers Stephen Levin and Brad Lander, elected officials, as well as community and faith leaders.

Beastie Boy's Ad-Rock will also attend the rally, which will encourage the community to stand up against hate in Brooklyn, NYC, and the country. It's going down at 11:30 a.m. ET, Sunday. Take a look at the flyer below for more information.
