Lady Gaga just shared her brand new video for "Million Reasons," the smooth cut from her most recent album, Joanne

Showing a contrast to the album's first single, the '80s-sounding "Perfect Illusion," Gaga shared the ballad "Million Reasons." The song, perhaps inspired by the singer's recent breakup with her former fiancé Taylor Kinney, is about a woman trying to find a reason to stay in a failing relationship. "I've got a hundred million reasons to walk away," Gaga sings. "But baby, I just need one good one to stay."

The track is produced by Mark Ronson, BloodPop, and Hillary Lindsey. Lindsey, who also co-wrote the song (and two otherJoanne tracks as well) with Gaga, is primarily known for writing for country artists like Faith Hill, Martina McBride, and Carrie Underwood. Gaga said that she wanted to work with Lindsey because of the songwriter's track record of writing massive country-pop hits like Underwood's "Jesus Take the Wheel" and Little Big Town's "Girl Crush." "I think she’s just written some of the most beautiful country-pop records," Gaga told Yahoo Music.

Gaga also spoke to the outlet about "Million Reasons":

“[It's] a country song mixed with funk and rock ‘n’ roll. You would never imagine it would sound that way… the feeling underneath the record is it’s almost got like a little bit of a hip-hop feeling. But at the same time, it’s not a hip-hop song."
