Just months after Chuck Inglish announcedThe Cool Kids were reuniting, they wasted no time getting together their official single, "Running Man," as a group.

“Running Man” marks their first collaborative effort in two years. The track features Houston’s own Maxo Kream, who previously worked with Inglish on records such as “16 Speakers” and “Smoke Break.” The trio deliver a hard-hitting anthem, capturing a vintage Cool Kids sound and a menacing vibe. Maxo even gives a nod to their critically acclaimed single “Black Mags” from their The Bake Sale EP with the line, “Chuck and Mike they got them black mags/I ride around with black mags!”

The Cool Kids haven’t dropped a full-length since When Fish Ride Bicycles in 2011. They briefly came back together in 2014 and were preparing to release Shark Week, teasing the imminent album with “Computer School” and “Chop” featuring HBK Gang. At this moment, it’s unclear if Shark Week will be their comeback album or if they’re starting fresh.

“Running Man” is a good sign of the latter. Let’s expect to hear more from the Chicago duo soon. Stream it below and cop it on iTunes here.
