UPDATE 12:15 p.m. EST: Metro Boomin took to Twitter to clarify his statement, noting that the "tradition" he was referring to was being in the studio on his birthday, not working with Drake and Future per se. You can check out his response below.

See below for original story.

It was just about one year ago when Drake and Future released What a Time to Be Alive, their highly successful collaborative mixtape largely produced by Metro Boomin. And now, while the two head into the final week of the Summer Sixteen tour, it appears that they’ll bless fans with another collaborative release soon.

That’s right. On Monday evening, Metro Boomin sent out a tweet that suggests Drake and Future will hit the studio this week.

last year on my birthday we were in the studio working on jumpman so I guess it's only right to keep the tradition going this week too lol

Though we don't know what's in store, it's safe to assume that the release will be another huge success not only for Drake and Future, but for Metro Boomin as well. The Atlanta-based producer, who will also make an appearance at the inaugural ComplexCon, earned his second No. 1 album for 2015 with What a Time to Be Alive (the first was Future's solo project Dirty Sprite 2.) Metro is clearly maintaining momentum, so we're sure whatever he's cooking up with Drake and Future will be fire.

Stay tuned as more information comes through.
