The original version of "Timeless" dropped on James Blake's recent album The Colour In Anything, and now he's unleashed a new remix of the track featuring Vince Staples. The song finds Vince taking the reigns over the original beat. "Until the sun shine bright/Until the last page turn/That's if the fire in your eyes don't leave the books all burnt/I tried to read between my lines without my glasses, girl I'm blind/I guess we got some shit in common after all," he raps. Although the track only clocks in at under three minutes, it still packs a powerful punch, building on the original with a new twist.

Blake and Staples actually debuted the song at Glastonbury Festival back in June, although this is the first time it's available in CDQ. The artists have a good working relationship already. Blake contributed production on Staples' recent EP Prima Donna, and Staples will serve as the opener for some of the dates on Blake's upcoming tour of North America. The tour will support the release of The Colour In Anything, which dropped back in May and featured an appearance from Bon Iver. Staples also dropped new music recently, with his Prima Donna EP surfacing just last week. Aside from Blake, the project also featured Kilo Kush and A$AP Rocky, and served as the official follow up to his debut 2015 album Summertime '06.
