Toronto native and Def Jam artist JAHKOY links up with ScHoolboy Q for his latest single, "California Heaven," as he describes the warm-weather soaked perfection of spending time on the idyllic west coast.

"When I flew out to LA from Toronto last year, I had no clue what to expect," JAHKOY told Fader over email about making moves to a new city. "I was living with barely any money, couch surfing and staying in cheap motels. While discovering the environment, I found myself actually finding my musical purpose. That to me was heaven."

The resulting track is a soothing, guitar-strummed, kick back that lays out all the wonders of L.A., including partying on the weekdays and the very warm weather, before ScHoolboy drops some smooth bars about the angel-like girls that reside in the city.

The track follows JAHKOY previously released and highly buzzed track, "Still in Love," which he dropped the video for earlier this summer that featured the Toronto artist spending time with his soulmate.

The tracks definitely show a hint of what's to come from the multi-talented singer, rapper, songwriter, and producer down the line. Having an assist from someone as elite as ScHoolboy doesn't hurt either. Stream "California Heaven" out now on Def Jam below and look for the track on his forthcoming EP, Foreign Waters. You can also listen to the track on iTunes, Apple Music, and Spotify right here.
