The Game vs. Meek Mill saga just got a bit more complicated—and hell of a lot more violent. Over the weekend, rumors began circulating that Beanie Sigel had been knocked out right before he took the stage at the Bad Boy Family Reunion tour stop in Philadelphia on Friday.

The Game later posted an Instagram video in which he suggested a member of Meek Mill’s crew was responsible for the attack.

“So the young bull knocked out the old head ‘cause he was drawling at the jaw,” The Game says in the video. “Niggas is crazy, man. Niggas went and got Beans on a song to diss me. That ain’t do what niggas thought it was gonna do, so y’all went back and beat the legend up, man?”

Last week, Sigel called up a radio station to discuss his involvement in Meek’s “OOOUUU” diss track against The Game. The 42-year-old rapper hinted he had helped write the lyrics.

“He didn’t say nothing to get on the track,” Sigel told Baltimore’s 92Q Jams. “I just happened to come in the studio. I just was helping him out with some lyrics. The situation kinda played out like it did.”

When Sigel was asked to clarify what he meant by “helping out,” he replied: “I don’t want to put it out there like that and discredit nobody for they skills or nothing.”

Were these comments what led to the assault on Sigel?

In Meek’s highly publicized feud with Drake, he consistently claimed the Toronto rapper didn’t write his own lyrics, so it makes sense that ghostwriting claims against Meek would strike a nerve.

On Monday, TMZ posted a video that showed the aftermath of the attack on Sigel. It shows the rapper being picked up off the ground, right after a Teefy Bey, a member of Meek’s crew, was taken away. The footage can be viewed above.

Teefy Bey also gave a video interview, in which he took credit for the assault and insisted Sigel had it coming because he broke the "code of ethics on the street."

“He backdoored niggas with Game and them, telling niggas information that only the camp know,” he said in the video. “And not the information that you wrote something, because you didn’t. The information was more worse than that, for the people. And then some other shit came into play that I don’t wanna talk about.”
