Only 10 days after he was released from jail, Young Buck is reportedly going to federal prison. The G-Unit MC was sentenced to seven months behind bars on Wednesday for violating the terms of his probation, according to the Nashville Scene.
Back in 2013, the 35-year-old rapper was granted a three-year supervised release term after serving time for illegal gun possession. He then violated the conditions in 2015 when he provided a fake urine sample for a drug test. The stunt could’ve resulted in a five-year prison sentence, but he was sentenced to 18 months’ probation, a $7,500 fine, and 100 hours of community service. But the violations didn’t stop there.
In July of this year, the rapper was arrested after he reportedly kicked down his ex-girlfriend’s front door and threatened to burn down her apartment. On July 28, Buck was taken into custody again for the July arrest, which was a violation of his probation. And though he was released on a $5,000 bond Aug. 1, the ex-girlfriend sought a protective court order, which prohibited Buck from contacting her directly or indirectly. Well, Buck, again, violated those terms.
According to a written statement by David Rivera, U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee, Buck contacted and attempted to contact the victim over 100 times.
G-Unit founder 50 Cent shared the news, as well as some encouraging words, on Instagram Wednesday.
