Top Dawg Entertainment wants you to know they’re up to something. On Friday night, the record label’s founder and CEO, Anthony Tiffith, posted a mysterious tweet that simply read “09.02.16.” The date has since sparked several theories on what’s TDE has in store—the most common theory being is that it’s an album release date. However, no one knows whose album it will be.

Back in July, Tiffith announced that a TDE tour would go down once everyone on the roster dropped his/her project. The label also posted a release schedule earlier this year, which suggested everyone but Black Hippy would come out with work before the year’s end. Now, Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q have already delivered, which means there’s only a handful of possibilities.

Ab-Soul has confirmed his next project is finished and ready to drop; SZA’s long-awaited debut album, A, is also scheduled for a 2016 release; Isaiah Rashad’s follow-up to 2014’s Cilvia Demo is also reportedly done; and, if TDE’s release schedule hasn’t changed, Jay Rock’s next album will also be delivered in 2016. Any of these could be next, and could easily be what Tiffith was teasing in his tweet; however, seeing as how Lance Skiiiwalker just came through with a new song called “Stops All” this week, many assume its his project that’s next in line.

So, whose album will it be? Or maybe “09.02.16” has nothing to do with an album at all. We’ll just have to keep our eyes out and wait till next month.
