On Aug. 8, 2015, revered Brooklyn rapper Sean Price passed away at the age of 43. The one-year anniversary of his untimely death has inspired countless tributes among hip-hop fans as well as artists who have honored his life with everything from social media posts to concerts to art. Now, Price’s longtime record label Duck Down Music is helping to keep his memory alive by releasing "Rap Professor," a never-before-heard track by the Brownsville lyricist. And most will be glad to know that the song is quintessential Price.

Produced by DJ Skizz, who’s most known for his work with Your Old Droog, "Rap Professor" features the boom-bap production Price is commonly associated with. The old-school beat serves as the perfect backdrop for Ruck’s razor-sharp rhymes and will no doubt make any fan long for the time when the rapper was still around.

Thankfully, however, it seems there’s more unreleased Price coming our way. According to DJ Skizz’s Instagram, "Rap Professor" will be featured on Imperius Rex, Price’s posthumous album presented by Duck Down. The project doesn't have a release date at this time, so keep it locked as more information rolls in. Until then, you can listen to "Rap Professor" below.
