When the whole world (including thirsty Apple Music employees) are clamoring for you to finally, really, actually drop the most anticipated album of the century, sometimes it's best to just ignore all that and go street racing instead. That seems to have been Frank Ocean's plan early Thursday morning, as he continued his habit of not releasing his new album by literally doing anything else.

A$AP Rocky caught the fast but decidedly not furious road contest between Frank Ocean and Tyler, the Creator on Snapchat, the Faderreports. "Watch out lil' bro!" Tyler is heard screaming. "I'm doing it!" Then, of course, he does it. Excellent! Maybe, by some small miracle, Frank was actually racing to the stu and/or the woodworking shop to finish up that album.

As for the most recent update on the album's progress, noted Frank collaborator Malay hit up Reddit earlier this week and briefly broke from his self-instated rule of answering zero Frank-related questions. "We all massively appreciate and love you guys, Frank has told me this himself many times," Malay told a fan who asked about the impending release. "To be fair tho [sic], art cannot be rushed. It's about making sure the perfect aesthetic for the situation has been reached, to do that, takes constant tweaking, trial, and error. That goes for any creative [situation]."

And now, as time has taught us again and again, we return to our natural state of perpetual waiting. Stay strong out there. The album is surely (?) coming eventually.
