Isa Muhammad is officially the newest member of the elite Maybach Music Group. Rap mogul Rick Ross signed the once homeless California-based rapper to his label on the strength of an impromptu freestyle when the pair met on the streets of Venice.

If you remember, a video of Isa rapping for a noticeably impressed Rozay made its way online and proceeded to go viral with over a million views. Since that day, Muhammad has been spotted all over with the MMG crew, including a party in Atlanta over 4th of July weekend.

"Ross saw Isa Muhammad and he saw a vision," explained MMG president Kendell "Young Sav" Freeman in a press release about the newest member of their label. "Isa was raw, authentic, and organically talented."

As for Ross, he admits that he never expected such a turnout. "This kid gave me his heart when he was spitting and the internet got a hold of the video I put up on my Snapchat." Most importantly, Ross saw this as an opportunity to give someone with talent a chance to prosper, which he feels is in line with the foundation that MMG was founded on in the first place. "I wanted to give an opportunity for someone else to be put on—I know so many people in his same position. MMG is about giving back and pushing the culture forward by finding new and real talent. Isa Muhammad will reflect quality rap music and MMG is going to make sure of that."

Muhammad took to Instagram to celebrate his monumental signing day. "We out here delivering a message...This is about black people," he declares in the post before adding, "I'm never going to stop. I'm never going to compromise." It seems the work has already begun with Muhammad is already grinding away in the studio on his debut project. His latest release, "Chemtrails & Muslim Wars" has already racked up nearly 150,000 listens in less than a month. Congratulations to Isa Muhammad and the whole Maybach team today.
