Rich the Kid grabs G.O.O.D. Music's Desiigner for the remix of his Rich Forever 2 cut "Plug Callin" featuring Famous Dex to transform the original into a trap-happy banger.
Throughout the remix, Desiigner's unmistakable, booming voice interpolates between the verses, fueling the Jaasu production with a new energy before shutting the whole thing down at the end with his own hard-swinging bars fated to make everyone feel that much more turnt when it comes on at the club.
Together, the three rappers unpack the problems of getting a call from their drug dealer too early in the morning, but give into the call because they were born to make money.
Earlier this month, Rich the Kid celebrated the Fourth of July by releasing his 11-track mixtape that was fully stacked with features including Lil Yachty, existential poet Jaden Smith, along with Young Thug and boasted production from the likes of Murda, Chris Fresh, Kswisha, Zaytoven, and more. It all made for an impressive release as the second mixtape from the Rich Forever boys following the announcement of his label and first signee, Dex, just this past March. The pairs chemistry is a volatile force, but there's no denying that Desiigner definitely elevates the whole track up.
This "Plug Callin" remix is a welcome addition and the perfect thing to hold us over until Desiigner decides to finally bless us with "Timmy Turner." It's also a good reminder to go give Rich Forever 2 a few spins if you haven't yet.
