Oh so smooth...

The lasting legacy of R&B bad-boys Jodeci exists in their contributions to the conception of '90s babies right across the globe, and today, they also serve as inspiration for a host of retro-thinking artists in cross-genres of black music. That's all displayed perfectly here on "Stay", the new track from north London rapper King Kay. Enlisting producer J Louis, Jodeci's 1991 single of the same name gets flipped into a smooth, laid-back jam as Kay's effortless flow and bars about love and London living calmly take centre stage. Stream "Stay" below and revisit King Kay's Mr Gatsby project right here.
