Together, Bristol's Sam Interface and Trinidad's LAZAbeam make up electronic dance duo Jus Now. On the day of release for their Alone EP, Jus Now have also freed-up the title track—a carnival-like anthem that perfectly encapsulates their feel-good sound and flavour. Incorporating a range of drum sounds, including the West African djembe and Indo-Trinidadian tassa, "Alone" is equal parts cultural exchange and uplifting medicine for the soul. Tinged with a joyous flute-led melody, the vocal of Tobago artist Chalmer John puts the final gem in the crown. Summer is most definitely here.
