Just hours before, Scoota hosted a charity basketball game called “Touch the People Pray for Peace in These Streets” at Morgan State University, according to Councilman Nick J. Mosby. He released a statement last night on the passing of Scoota:
While Scoota was still coming up in hip-hop, he was respected by plenty of established rappers such as Meek Mill, The Game, and Yo Gotti.
Scoota’s campaign online was #ScootaUpNext, which saw the support of many of his fans and peers. He released a string of volumes for his Still in the Trenches series, recently dropping the third installment that featured Glizzy, PNB Rock, and YFN Lucci last December. Scoota was signed to Young Ballers Shining Records, and was affiliated with Meek Mill and his Dreamchasers team. Check out some of Scoota’s standout records below.
