While Afrika Bambaataa battles back against the allegations that he sexually assaulted a number young boys, many in the rap community have begun to distance themselves from the influential DJ and MC. Don't count KRS-One amongst that group however. In a recent interview on N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s Drink Champs podcast, Teacha took the opportunity to jump to Bambaataa's defense.

“For me if you keep it hip-hop, nothing can be taken away from Afrika Bambaataa,” he said. “But if you want to dig into dude’s personal life and accusations that’s being made and so on…personally...I don’t give a f--k.” He then added, "If somebody was harmed or whatever, y’all gotta deal with that s--t...That don’t stop what you did for hip-hop. It don’t take away none of it. History is history. But deal with that. That’s personal."

Earlier this month, former Zulu Nation member Ronald Savage gave an interview with The New York Daily News where he revealed that Bambaataa's molested him during the 1980s when he was just 15-years old. Since then, another three men have stepped forward with a similar set of allegations. Bambaataa has remained steadfast in his own defense saying, "I, Afrika Bambaataa, want to take this opportunity at the advice of my legal counsel to personally deny any and all allegations of any type of sexual molestation of anyone. These allegations are baseless and are a cowardly attempt to tarnish my reputation and legacy in hip-hop at this time."
