KAYTRANADA shares his new remix of Rihanna's "Kiss It Better" that he just premiered over via Beats 1 on Tuesday afternoon. On the remix, he trades the tracks sensual slow jam and growling guitar power chords for frenetic production that quickly kicks the track into high gear while giving it a much welcomed new vibe prime for balmy summer hangouts that last late into the night.
Zane Lowe took a moment to point out that doing a remix isn't just another normal day in the office when KAYTRANADA stopped by the studio and he quickly agreed. The young producer also discussed how he approached the remix, and revealed that it was already a song he listened to all the time. "I probably had it on repeat, low key I really love the song, but I really wanted to remix it and I had this whole idea...Its hard to explain in words. I just think about it and then boom."
KAYTRANADA also took the opportunity on air to announce his new mixtape 0.01% telling Zane, "It’s on it’s way. It’s gonna be wild."
The Haitian-Canadian producer has been more than busy lately, dropping his debut album, 99.9% at the beginning of May. He has also been keeping himself busy in the studio collaborating with the likes of River Tiber on the recently released "Gravity" along with noted Pusha T and The Weeknd collaborator, Doc McKinney, for the Red Bull Sound Select track "Illusions." It's pretty great to see KAYTRANADA back at the remix game though. Check out another fine release from the producer below.
