Premiere: Cozz Holds It Down for His Crew in the "My Side" Video

Cozz shares the video for "My Side" off his latest project, 'Nothin Personal.'

This Friday (June 3), Cozz is set to embark on a 26-date trek across the country alongside fellow Dreamville representatives Bas and Ron Gilmore, among others. The summer tour will give the South Central L.A. rapper another opportunity to highlight what's poppin' off his latest project, Nothin Personal, and that includes "My Side," which receives the proper visual treatment today.

The video opens up with Cozz in an empty lot in Long Beach, California, and he turns the otherwise mundane setting into his own stomping grounds, dance moves included. This nicely matches the theme of his lyrics; even though he's experienced some success and is ready to make the jump to a star, he still hasn't forgotten the people he came up with. "I keep my Gs right by my side/They keep they piece right in they ride," he raps over Meez's production, who is also featured in the second scene of the video at the barbershop.

"It's just about keeping people u trust by your side at all times and the video depicts that that's not too many people, hence me being alone for half the video," Cozz told Complex via email.
