Bone Thugs Attempt to Honour Biggie, Instead Show Picture of Actor from 'Notorious'

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony attempted to honour Biggie during the Melbourne leg of their Australian tour over the weekend. Due to some lazy Google image searching however, the hip-hop greats instead paid tribute to Jamal Woolard, the actor who played Biggie in Notorious.

Bone Thugs played the show on May 21, which also marked what would have been Biggie’s 44th birthday. In an attempt to pay their respects on Big's birthday, the Ohio group stopped the show to talk about the fallen star while a slideshow of iconic images played on the big screen behind them.

Seemingly cycling through Google image search results, the screen soon displayed a picture of Jamal Woolard. Oops. Despite the slip-up though, fans have been reporting Bone Thugs put on a dope show.

Bone Thugs are touring the country as part of the This Is Hip-Hop tour, which itself has been plagued with problems. Originally billed as Bone Thugs, DJ Quik, Tha Dogg Pound and Mobb Deep, the lineup has been scaled back after Prodigy and Tha Dogg Pound withdrew. Late changes to bills and artists pulling out of tours at the last minute is nothing new to Australian hip-hop fans though.

The This is Hip Hop tour hits Sydney on Friday 27 May and Brisbane on Saturday 28 May.
