In a teaser clip for this week's upcoming episode of Kocktails with Khloe, Kanye West reveals why he bought his first cell phone, and it's a very Kanye-esque reason if we say so ourselves. The Chicago rapper freely admits that he used his phone to text Kim Kardashian, his now wife, about her plan to marry Kris Humphries.

But it wasn't to congratulate Kim on her impending nuptials with the NBA star. Instead he hit her line to critique her decision to marry him. "I wasn't up to anything, and I looked on the Internet, and there was Kim Kardashian with some extremely tall person," he says. "I was like, I need to call her or something. And so I started sending her pictures of certain basketball players that used to be cool, that now they wear their pants all the way up to here. 'This is your future!'"

The roundtable of friends including Khloe Kardashian, John Legend, and Chrissy Teigen all laugh it up at the expense of Humphries, with Khloe even announcing, "I forgot about the Humphries marriage." In a 2014 interview with Paper, Kim talked about Kanye not owning a phone for four years, which lines up with 'Ye's story. Of course, Kim would go on to file for divorce from Humphries after just 72 days of marriage, and later marry Kanye in 2014. At least Humphries is playing for a playoff team... so yeah, he's got that.

'Ye was also using the phone to write down his raps for The Life of Pablo during it's creation. Unfortunately for him, this didn't end very well after his daughter North flushed it down the toilet. In the clip, Kim says that they tried to bring it to multiple different stores, but they couldn't retrieve any of the data. Surprisingly, she said he "wasn't even mad" and kept his cool through the whole ordeal. You can check out that clip below, along with one of Kanye talking about the source of his confidence.
