Gorillaz have blessed us with a first look at their new album. The band's co-founder, Jamie Hewlett, shared two videos on Instagram of the band's other co-founder, Damon Albarn, with him in the studio. In one video, the bandmates can be seen spitting out some beats while throwing some quick lyrics in as they just let loose in the studio. The second video is a sped-up clip of everyone getting to work in the studio with no noise to clue us in on what exactly they're saying. Fortunately for us, the videos tell us the magic is clearly happening.

If you remember, both Damon and Jamie were dropping hints throughout 2015 that a new Gorillaz album was in the works for 2016. Eventually, Damon came clean and announced to the world that he was “in the very early days” of a new Gorillaz project last October. "I don’t want to say too much about it, but I’m at that phase of experimentation," he said at the time. We can only hope these new videos mean a full album will arrive sooner rather than later, though they haven't announced their exact plans for the group. For now, watch the first glimpses of the band in the studio below.
