The cast of Broadway's award-winning rap musical Hamilton took a moment to pay tribute to the late Prince the only way they knew how last night. At the end of their performance, the cast broke into a spirited rendition of The Purple One's "Let's Go Crazy." The tribute was no accident, either. The show's musical director, Alex Lacamoire, spent all day yesterday working on the number with the cast, according to Rolling StoneLin-Manuel Miranda, the mastermind behind the show, was one of many celebrities who paid tribute to Prince on Twitter yesterday. "Step away from your computer. Walk around, blast some Prince. It's the only thing that has saved my day, it may save yours," he tweeted. It only makes sense he would take moment out of his company's performance last night to remember Prince once again.

However, that wasn't the only tribute that occurred on Broadway last night. Down the street, the cast of The Color Purple also took a moment to remember Prince with an emotional cast performance of "Purple Rain." "His music will live on and he will live with his music, so we want to keep him alive today!" lead Jennifer Hudson noted before she and Cynthia Erivo lead the cast, and eventually the audience, in song. Check out all the footage courtesy of the cast and audience members now.
