In today's random acts of hip-hop weirdness, we have a rather strange story out of Massachusetts. According to a report from Boston Magazine, police in the town of Charlton are investigating several random men who are apparently trying to start rap battles with people in the area. The police report states that the men reportedly pulled up in an SUV alongside three teenage boys over the weekend and asked if they wanted to "spit some bars." Better yet, one of the men was described as wearing open-toed sandals, which shows that they all meant business. "Although this was suspicious behavior and frightening to the boys, nothing made this appear to be an attempted abduction," the police wrote on Facebook. The boys were obviously frightened to get that lyrical work.

The police have reportedly opened up a follow-up investigation in this case, which is hilarious in its own right. "We take it seriously when a parent is concerned for their child’s safety. And though it may not amount to a crime this time, it does amount to a quality-of-life issue,” the police wrote. So yeah, if you have any information on the random men trying to battle rap people in Charlton, Mass., you can report your tips here
