You may know about Nick Jonas' surprisingly tight friendship with Jay-Z, but you probably didn't know that they were this tight. The singer recently went on record to reveal that the superstar rapper and Tidal owner actually helped him name his upcoming album Last Year Was Complicated, which is set to hit the shelves on June 10th. Jonas' latest album, with songs like "Champagne Problems" and "Close" is all about heartbreak, and when he talked about it with Hov, the hip-hop mogul gave a huge assist with the title.

According to Billboard, Jonas met up with Jay sometime in November of last year when he started going in on some of the darker details of his most recent break-up that fueled much of the material for his next release. At one point, Jonas summed up the entire ordeal by saying "last year was complicated." Jay merely looked at the young singer and reportedly said something to the effect of, "that's your album title."

While we still have to wait a few months to get the finished product, you can check out the Last Year Was Complicated lead single, "Close" featuring Tove Lo below.
