Gunshots Were Fired on the Final Day of SXSW in Downtown Austin

The relative calm of this year's SXSW festival was broken early this morning when someone fired gunshots in the middle of downtown Austin. According to a report from USA Today, a suspect fired the rounds off into the air and was immediately apprehended by the authorities. The incident took place at 1:30 am CST, around the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Trinity Street, near Trinity Hall at Old School Bar & Grill.

The Austin Police Department later tweeted out the following, but no further information has been given at this time about who the suspect is, or what charges might be filed.
