The 10th anniversary of J Dilla's death just passed, and members of the rap community continue to do their part to keep his legacy alive, including Nas. The rapper appeared on Beats 1 Radio today and announced that his label, Mass Appeal, is teaming up with Dilla's estate to put out a new album from the legendary producer next month. The album, which is titled The Diary, will feature contributions from Snoop Dogg, Madlib, Pete Rock, Bilal, and more, along with previously unreleased beats and raps from Dilla.
In addition to the announcement, Zane Lowe dropped the first single from the project titled "The Introduction," which features some crazy bars from Dilla. The life of Dilla is always appreciated in the music world, but never more than now, and that love and appreciation will only expand with the new album coming this year.
