Last night, Yasiin Bey, f.k.a. Mos Def, announced via Kanye West's website that he's going to retire from music and that his last album will be released later this year. Along with his retirement news, Bey shared a "No More Parties In SA" freestyle, where he addressed his recent arrest in South Africa for using fraudulent travel documents.

Bey's retirement is a sad moment for the rap game, but based on some hints via his Instagram, it's starting to look like his final album might really be something special. In three separate posts, Bey seemed to tease that he has collaborations with Kanye, J. ColeKendrick Lamar, and Lupe Fiasco ready to go. One of the captions might have even indicated that Bey could be releasing these songs in the next 12 hours, which is beyond exciting.

As far as Bey's legal situation in South Africa, he's officially been charged with using a false passport and an unrecognized travel document, according to TMZ. Bey is due back in court on March 8, but his family only has until Jan. 28 to leave the country. We'll continue to update the details of his case as they become available.
