Coldplay's seventh studio album, A Head Full of Dreams, is here. The British band headed into the studio with a new frame of mind when making this album. “With this one we’re trying to do our whole spectrum,” Martin told Entertainment Weekly. “The colors we’re missing within the band we tried to bring in with guests and other producers.” Some of those new guests include Beyoncé and Blue Ivy Carter, who are both featured on the song "Hymn For The Weekend." Coldplay also teamed up with Rihanna's production team—who they had previously worked with on Unbrokenas well as President Obama, whose "Amazing Grace" performance is used on the album

According to The Wall Street Journal, Coldplay is following Adele's lead and keeping their new album off Spotify. Adele kept 25 off Spotify upon its release, which undoubtedly helped boost her sales to sell 3.38 million copies in its first week to beat *NSYNC's previous record of 2.146 million units sold. Listen now to A Head Full Of Dreams available on all streaming services that "don’t offer a free option," or pick it up on iTunes right here. We'll keep you posted how the strategy works out for them. In the meantime, we recommend you check out Pigeons & Planes' discussion about the controversial release strategy.
