Is Apple Launching More Beats Radio Stations?

Apple reportedly filed trademarks for a number of new stations.

The launch of Apple Music was one of the bigger stories in 2015, and in particular, the success of the platform's Beats 1 radio station. The 24/7 broadcast gives listeners a unique blend of original shows and content, new music, personalized stations, and much more. With the standout success of the station, it now looks like Apple is planning to launch additional sister stations in the near future.

According to Mac Rumors, Apple has pending trademark applications for the word marks B2, B3, B4, and B5 to go along with pending trademarks for Beats2, Beats3, Beats4, and Beats5. It's unclear on when Apple might plan to roll out these new stations, and in exactly what capacity they would be used for. As of now, high profile artists such as DrakePharrellRun the JewelsMary J. Blige​, Dr. Dre​, Q-Tip, and more all have their own shows on the Beats 1 channel. Stay tuned for more details as this story develops.
