In 2002, Coldplay released the euphoric "Clocks" which was celebrated particularly for its piano melody. Thirteen years later, the melody is still instantly recognisable and this remix by Goldn is a refreshing take on the hit song. The singer-songwriter from Reading blends the sample with his distorted vocals, a stuttering bassline, and some spacey inflections that add an even higher sense of euphoria. "The process happened very naturally," Goldn told Complex over email. "I heard the track in a shop and came up with some ideas to change it up. I love it when that happens, the accidents that you don't really expect. It's a process of writing which I love. It makes the final thing so real and unpredictable, which is something I think that makes an artist—to not think too much, and just create."
