Four-piece outfit Deaths have today released their debut EP, Under Old Sun (via Love By Mistake), and we've got the first play on one if its highlights: "Company Of Thieves". More and more artists these days are drawing influence from grime, though very few bands have done it. Now, before you spit coffee at your screen and flip your desk over, I'm not about to say this is a band playing grime. No, what they've done here is employ the metallic sheen of grime's icy synths and transposed that into a very modern take on post-punk. It's not often you can recommend a track to fans of both Wiley and Depeche Mode, but this is the world we live in and we couldn't be happier.
