Electronic music has seen an exponential growth in popularity over the last decade. An intricate fabric of the genre's success has stemmed from the culture and experience of live shows. With that in mind, New York City will unfortunately see one of its most notable clubs close soon. Pacha, the outpost of the Ibiza club of the same name, opened up in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of the city 10 years ago in the same spot that the infamous club Sound Factory stood back in the '90s. The club credits an immense part of its success to promoter Rob Fernandez, who contributed to the night spot's themed parties, teen nights, and rotating list of heavy hitting headliners. He sadly passed away suddenly over the summer with the club hosting a charity event in his honor.

Throughout the years, everyone from Alesso to Porter Robinson to Armin van Buuren has played at Pacha. Although no specific reason has been named for the club closing, Pacha New York's president, Eddie Dean, released a statement on the club's website. "The average club lasts 18 months — we lasted 120," he wrote. "It's been a wild ride that none of us will ever forget. Our final parties will celebrate the different artists, styles, and scenes that have made Pacha great."

Before the club officially shuts down in January 2016, it will house parties for the next two months with artists ranging from Puff Daddy to Dirty South. You can see the full list of performers over on Pacha's website.
