Director Gaspar Noé Thinks Hype Williams and Kanye West Ripped Him Off

'Enter the Void' is the film in question.

Director Gaspar Noé went on the record in a recent interview with the Daily Beast and accused Kanye West and Hype Williams of ripping off part of his 2009 film, Enter the Void. Noé claims that West and Williams copied the title sequence from his film in their video for "All of the Lights." "The truth is that when you put something out there, if you put any idea out there that’s kind of flashy, you have many, many people that are going to be copying it," Noé said.

He later went on to complain about Williams putting his name all over the video, and said that you don't usually see that in music videos. "He was putting his name on it over and over! It was so weird that he was not only copying it, but adding his name into the credits over and over again," he said.

Back in 2011, graphic designer Ton Kan accused West and Williams of jacking the idea for the credits in their video, but the claims didn't really lead to anything. It's unclear if these latest allegations will go further than the last, but the similarities between the sequences is interesting to say the least.
