But our Complex News team still caught up with Demi, our Editor-In-Chief Noah Callahan-Bever, as well as photographer Tony Kelly at the cover shoot. Our EIC explained why we picked Demi to grace our cover saying, "There's a certain edge to her as an artist that makes her more gritty and a little bit more human than many pop stars." Meanwhile, Demi explains what it means to be on our cover, "It's really exciting for me because Complex always has artsy, cool covers."
