TRV$DJAM was an unstoppable force in 2008 and 2009, releasing a pair of well-received mixtapes (Fix Your Face Volumes 1 and 2) and bringing their eclectic mix of two distinctly different but entirely complementary styles to thousands of fans on both the festival and club circuits. However, DJ AM (Adam Goldstein) and Travis Barker's musical partnership extended well beyond they graced together as TRV$DJAM, with the two friends collaborating on a wide variety of projects both personal and creative.

Goldstein passed away in 2009, just one year after he survived a horrific plane crash in South Carolina alongside Barker. On the sixth anniversary of his passing, Barker shared a heartfelt message for his friend and creative partner via Instagram:

Barker is slated to release Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death, and Drums, Drums, Drums, his highly anticipated memoir, in October. The book will reportedly detail Barker's road to recovery alongside Goldstein following the plane crash, as well as his history with Blink-182. An authorized documentary on Goldstein's life recently surpassed its Indiegogo goal, ensuring its eventual public release.
