Since the release of her debut Room 93 EP last fall, 20 year-old Ashley Frangipane has sky-rocketed into the stratosphere of the music industry with a record deal with Astralwerks, national tours with The Kooks, Young Rising Sons and Imagine Dragons and songs "Ghost" and "Hold Me Down" all culminating with the release of her highly-anticipated debut album BADLANDS out today.

From it's first note, Halsey welcomes you into the BADLANDS of her mind with the industrial-crunching production of "Castle" to the millennial anthem "New Americana" (a song so nice Zane Lowe played it twice). Then "Drive" arrives with its window-wiping synths and a motor-humming bassline like a much-needed getaway car, offering refuge from the desolate wasteland with the most clutch transition into uplifting, album highlights "Roman Holiday" and "Colors." Induced in shades of blue-ridden emotions, Halsey twists and turns her slinking lyrics with executive producer Lido into sky-stabbing cuts of pop until the album's bittersweet end. Welcome to BADLANDS.

Listen to the whole album below or on iTunes out now on Astralwerks/Capitol Records. You can also catch Halsey on her headline tour this fall along with some guest dates on The Weeknd's THE MADNESS tour (dates here). Also check out more on the singer's new life in our recent interview when we met up with the singer in NYC.
