If there's anything we know about Taylor Swift fans, it's that they will do anything to defend the singer, with their most recent target being Grizzly Bear's Ed Droste. The band's frontman has had some well-documented beef with the 1989 singer, notably when he took to his former Twitter page to compare her to Mean Girls iconic Regina George calling her a "self serving" and "calculating" person who "frightens [him] genuinely." Most recently, the singer took to Twitter following Beck and St. Vincent's performance with Taylor at Staples Center this week to divulge he had "lost a lot of respect for a shit ton of thirsty celebs this week" and the he's "tired of everyone sucking up to the power. Just stop feeding the monster."

While Ed explained that the basis for his feelings was because of first-hand experiences he's had, Taylor's fans swiftly came to her defense with retaliating tweets. According to a screenshot of his tweets from Stereogum, Droste said Taylor fans have called him "every disgusting slur there is" including "faggot, ugly, dirty Jew and the works." He then described fame as an illness before signing off with a final bye and deleting his account. You can read his full tweets below.
