U2 Releases Short Film "Song for Someone" Starring Woody Harrelson

Woody Harrelson stars as a prisoner in U2's short film "Song for Someone."

Last night SundanceTV hosted the world premiere of the short film for U2's “Song for Someone" off their current album Songs of Innocence. Thematically linking to RECTIFY, the short film relates to SundanceTV’s Peabody award-winning series that follows the story of Daniel Holden and his family as they struggle to move forward after Daniel’s release from 19 years on death row.

Directed by Vincent Haycock, the nine-minute short film stars Woody Harrelson as a man being released from prison after years of incarceration. Co-starring his daughter Zoe Harrelson, the short film to the testament of emotion when music and video are put together - especially during that long walk scene. Watch "Song for Someone" above and catch RECTIFY‘s new season airing Thursdays on SundanceTV.
