A 24-Year-old man died in the early hours last night at Electric Daisy Carnival reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The Electric Daisy Carnival is a three-night festival held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. In general, concert-goers of EDM have built a reputation for pushing themselves to the limit, whether drinking too much alcohol or taking too many drugs. Although the cause of death and identity of the man have not been released, he died at around 4 a.m. He was one of seven people taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department issued an overnight statistical report that broke down how many incidents occurred during day two of EDC. It is estimated that 35 attendees were arrested and 26 were related to narcotics.

Last year, there were three EDC-related deaths with one person dying from an ecstasy overdose.

Insomniac, the producers behind Electric Daisy Carnival, issued a statement today.

We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the man who passed away. The health and safety of our fans is Insomniac's first priority and we take every measure to create a safe environment. While the cause of this tragedy will take some time to determine, we ask that you keep his loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. Tonight and every night, we ask all of our fans to take care of themselves and one another.
